Gen Y'ers expect your application to load fast, stay fast, oh and also still not suck while traveling in Europe in a bus with terrible wifi going through a tunnel using a hand-me-down phone. So what do your impatient emoji-lovers look for in a modern and fast web application? Hint: a lot. We'll cover that, and also learn how your users' expectations translate into tangible performance metrics you can measure today. We'll explore tools to record those measurements, and techniques that'll allow you to start ramping up your application's speed.
Bio: Dave has been developing stuff at D2L for 13 years. He’s spent that time diving deep into everything web, and is so excited about where the web platform is headed.
